Natural and rockin' Lace fronts

I was in Atlanta last week celebrating my little sister graduating. I decided to take a dive into some of the natural vendors. I ran into a place called Sage Naturalceuticals (http://www.sagenaturalceuticals.com/Welcome.html). The store was small but boasted calmness and serenity. It was the perfect size and wasn't overwhelming. The owner was the sweetest and very knowledgeable about the natural products and the raves on youtube. She carries Afroveda, Bee Mine, and Darcy Botanicals (just to name a few).

Now on to the real story . . .

The owner told me to try some of the products to see what my hair would like. She thought my silky 3a/3b wavy wig was my hair!! I was ecstatic because that means my lace front is working and actually looks real. I told her immediately that I'm a natural 4b/4c and this is a wig. Her eyes were soo big in amazement!!! It was almost like she thought I was lying. I told her I would pull out a section from under the wig to test and she was more shock how long my hair was.

The moral of the story  . . .
Just because someone is wearing a weave, wig, or braids does not mean they are bald! :)

I'm not affiliated or getting paid by Sage Naturalceuticals. You guys in the Atlanta area should check out her store! You can test products before you buy! She looks for input from her customers to find out what she should carry in her store. She's also working on carrying Qhemet Biologics.

Conair's Infiniti Hair Designer on sale at Bed Bath and Beyond

I just wanted to say hey! I've been focusing a lot of my energies on my youtube channel.
Please check it out at http://www.youtube.com/user/Niafloda.

Also, I just checked my mailbox and see that Bed Bath and Beyond is having a crazy sale.
A lot of my youtube subscribers have been inquiring about my blow dryer which is the Inifiniti Hair Designer. I got mine a few years ago and it was originally $50 bucks or more and now they are selling it for $14.99!!! Yes! $14.99. I am not being endorsed by this company nor being paid to tell you this. I think it's a great blow dryer that offers easy blow drying without the use of paddle brushes and it allows you to set the tension at which your hair is gripped by the dryer. I have less breakage with this blow dryer and faster drying time because it dries and detangles at the same time! It also offers a cool setting for those that are anti-heat!

Happy New Year Hair Resolution

I've noticed that with all the tons of products I have and haven't used that I have not set hair routine. My goal for 2010 is to create a routine and stick to it for two months. After watching the growth show blog, this young lady encouraged me to set some sort of regime so that I can really manage my progress with hair growth.

I love trying new products, but the reason for trying products is to find something I love and stick with it. Switching out products everyday doesn't allow my hair to get all the benefits from it.

Come join us on this challenge. Post your routines. I could use the feedback on my pending routine below:

Wash hair twice a week with Alaffia Shea Honey Shampoo. This has a black soap base. Its smooth, creamy. It cleanses my scalp and doesn't dry my hair out.

Do a co wash or rinse on the days I am not washing my hair to make sure my hair is getting purse moisture.

Condition with Alaffia Shea Honey Conditioner.

And use the Alaffia Shea Coconut Leave in conditioner.

My leave in cream moisturizer will by the remaining of my Hydratherma Natural Growth Lotion until this finishes out and then I will move onto the Qhemet Biologics Burdock Root Cream.

I will deep condition every two weeks. Alternating between moisture from Moroccan Oil Mask and Mega-tek for protein until its finished.

I am keeping my hair in medium size 2 strand twists and wearing a lace front (no glue) as my protective style.
